In The News This Week.

In the news this week Dan Carter came back to play for the Auckland Blues. He is going to play in the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition. He is replacing Steven Perofeta because he got injured. Dan Carter was playing in France then decided to move back to New Zealand to play. He used to play for the Crusaders and his dad is still going to support the Crusaders. Dan Carter plays for Auckland because he lives in Auckland with his family. He is 38 so he won't play rugby for too much longer.

I reckon the Auckland Blues are stacked now because they have Beauden Barrett ,Dan Carter and Rico Yowani.

What's In the News This Week?

Last week a pair of Michael Jordan's shoes sold for nearly one million New Zealand dollars.  They were auctioned off and they were signed by him.  He wore them in his rookie year of playing for the Chicago Bulls.  Michael Jordan was so good that he used to be able to dunk from the free throw line!  He retired in 2003.

Mystery theme

Today we had to work out what our theme for this week is.  We had to work in teams to work out some clues.

Clue 1: We had 3 puzzle to build.  The puzzles were a hippo, an old boat and a symbol.

Clue 2: We had to work out some anagrams and then find the words in a wordfind

Clue 3: We had to work out some maths questions and for each question we got right we got a letter.

Clue 4: We got a country shape to try and work out what our topic was

Finally we had to use all the clues to find our topic.  Some clues were hard and some were easy. 

We worked out our topic for this week is Ancient Egypt.
